Yeap, am pus raid 1, aka mirroring pe os x server, merge super bine, 2 X 250Gb HD, very reliable. Plusuri: nu imi mai este teama ca voi pierde datele. Minusuri: cost ridicat (dublu pt. raid1), no hardware raid built into G5.
p.s. RAID is a technique that was developed to provide speed, reliability, and increased storage capacity using multiple disks, rather than single disk solutions. RAID 1 is commonly called disk mirroring. Since the disks are replicated, RAID 1 may involve double or triple mirroring. The RAID 1 architecture is designed such that a disk failure will cause the I/O subsystem to switch to one of the replicated disks with no service interruption. RAID 1 is use when high availability is critical. -------------------- ![]() |
